So I guess you could call this mildly productive - blogging from the train instead of bemoaning the choice of actual trains which aren't overcrowded. I dedicate my train tunes to you, First Capital Connect. I'm in a "tune 'em out" mood today - first up is N.W.A's Express Yourself. I'm really old school - so I love me a bit of Straight Outta Compton to start my evening commute off. Jem's Just a Ride is another great choon to put my head in the right place - overcrowding and people with the social skills of an oemeba can regularly put you in a craptastic mood. Don't forget, it's just a ride...
Showing my roots a bit - if I'm in a good mood (as I am tonight), Great Big Sea is perfect. Metrobus, a single off their latest album Fortune's Favour, is a particular gem. I haven't been able to get into Matisyahu's Shattered EP as much as his earlier offerings (a different influence these days, perhaps?), although I thoroughly enjoy the entire Youth album. Rounding off the Songs for Public Transport playlist (yes, that's what it's called) is a healthy dose of the Dixie Chicks. Any album, really - there's something there no matter my mood.
A bit of a meaningless post, but a good way to share my rather quirky musical tastes.
